Preparing for your visit
Do before you come
- Fast for 2 hours
Water is fine throughout. - Upload recent blood tests
Add them in your personal area beforehand. - Start logging in the app
Begin food-logging the day before. - Avoid hard exercise
No strenuous workout right before.
What to wear & bring
- Sport shoes
You'll do a short physical test. - Comfortable clothing
No metal zippers, jewellery or jeans. - Your smartphone
For the app and SMS updates.
Good to know
Plan for about 2.5–3 hours on site.
Postpone until at least 6 months after birth.
Tell the study coordinator about any trips or flights.
What a test day looks like
Your visit takes about 2.5–3 hours. On the day, you'll go through a set of measurements and leave with the take-home kits and the app.
- 1 Blood test
Baseline blood work at the centre.
- 2 Cheek sampling
A quick sample for genetic characterization.
- 3 Body measurements
Including body-fat percentage and a short gait test.
- 4 Take home your kits
Stool kit, home sleep device, and the food-logging app.
You'll review the informed-consent form ahead of time and sign it on the day of your visit.
